I would like to take this opportunity to welcome parents and students to the 2009-2010 school year. I look forward to meeting each of you and having a good school year.
As most of you know, this will be my first year teaching Spanish I, as well as my first year as the yearbook sponsor. Last year I taught English II and IV and thoroughly enjoyed it, but welcome the opportunity to expand my horizons and teach one of the four foreign languages that I have studied extensively.
While in college. undergrad and graduate school, I studied Spanish, French, Ancient Greek, and Latin. I look forward to helping our students learn not only the basics of Spanish, but conversational Spanish, as well as the culture of the Spanish speaking areas throughout the world.
As an undergraduate, I minored in Journalism and worked on the college newspaper, which has prepared me well for layout and design of the yearbook. I am very excited to be working with this year's yearbook staff on creating a yearbook that they can be proud of for many years to come.
